Riddle Me This - Intro to Problem Solving Series

Two men want to cross a very wide, deep, and rushing river. It is impossible to cross it except with the use of one wooden boat, which is currently parked at the river bank. The boat can only fit one person, does not have any motors, can only go when it has someone inside to row it, and it cannot be pulled back to the original river side with any rope, stick, or any equipment (these gadgets are not even available on site).

They successfully cross the river.

How?

Hint:
  1. Define the problem properly
  2. Think outside the box (or a better term: Think without the box. I will share about this later in my Problem Solving series I am planning to write).
  3. Understand a general process for creative thinking. Check this out for a quick overview.
